Why did I choose watercolor paintings to illustrate these plants? All plants have subtle differences just as all of us are different. Each crop (or even within the same crop in a different location in the greenhouse) will look a little different. These paintings are accurate depictions of the form of these plants and the silhouette drawings of Felix with each variety show a good size reference. Sharon has done a marvelous job of showing the vibrant colors of these plants, but no painting or photograph can reproduce the exact color or intensity of the spikes of Bromeliads. Be assured, you will be pleasantly surprised at the colors upon arrival. Another reason for choosing paintings is that if you decide not to order a plant you can at least print Sharon's paintings on your color printer and hang them on the wall.
