VrieseaBarbara,Christianne, etc. Vrieseas range from Mexico to northern Argentina with most growing in eastern Brazil and Costa Rica. They are mostly epiphytes (growing on trees) in the rain forests at all elevations. V. Barbara (6" pot) and Christianne (4" pot) have glossy green leaves with bright, waxy red spikes that make yellow flowers. Water about once a week and provide medium to bright, filtered light.
